VINEYARDS IN SIERNE

The commune of Veyrier in Geneva has a few vineyards and wine producers. Unfortunately, those wines are generally not distributed and you have to buy them directly from the vintners...

Not very far from the village, when walking in direction of the town, there's a little hamlet called Sierne (see map) which is situated on a slope/hill. There, you'll see some very old manor houses, a castle as well as a miniature vineyard (see the wine produced at the "Château de Sierne").

That place is so pretty! I hope that my pictures (click on the photos to enlarge) will give you a good idea of how it looks...

    My family has a vineyard In Turkey. It is very nice to pick some grapes and eat them right away. I miss those times...
