ReplyDeleteFirst time I'm posting on your week-end cat blogging, for I know I'm going to make a looooong story out of this! Just thought I'd let you know the last cat ordeal at my house...
ReplyDeleteWe had this Chartreux for the past two years, mostly for my daughter who's juvenile asthma was cured at about the same time we got the cat in. She had begged and pleaded for a cat, for years.
Not that I don't like 'em, just didn't want to take risks with her health.
So last year at about this time, the cat started shedding its winter coat... and I was left with soooo much hair all over the house, it was maddness. I had my daughter and partner to brush him regularly, but nothing did it. I got really fed up.
So I promised myself this year, we'd have the cat shaved before it lost its coat.
And this morning, like partners in crime, my daughter and partner took the cat to the pampering lady. Til the last minute, both of them were trying to dissuade me from getting him shaved, for none of us knew what to expect - but last year was hell and I was not going through that again.
The cat came back around lunch time today, Rosa... sooooo beautiful, you have noooo idea!
The lady didn't shave its head obviously, but she also left it high boots and a nice feather at the end of the tail.
It now looks like a racy russian spy! She said it would last for about 4 month... (sigh), now I'm thinking I might get him shaved a couple of times a year! Rosa... it's absolutely beautfiful! (Okay, I must admit, I'm pretty partial to fancy shaving on poodles! but still!) I'll have to send you pictures when I take 'em!
Such a bute!
ReplyDeleteheute ein besonders friedlicher Fridolin :-)
