TWO MONTHS AGO... AND NOW

I can't believe that two months ago, it was still warm and the trees still had most of their leaves. It's incredible when you think that, now, it is freezing cold and snowing...

I hope those pictures will bring you a little warmth. They were taken in the Veyrier vineyards which are situated only 8 minutes away from my building block!

THEN...
AND NOW...

From these pictures I imagine you living in a magical land! All those golden vines over the stone wall, and then the gray snowy picture. So beautiful.

Your photos are exquisite! It is not nice here in Canada right now either. The snow is frozen solid and it is dark and dreary. The pups don't like it at all!

De la féérie des couleurs on passe au noir et blanc... c'est cela aussi les saisons.

Ye, I know exactly what you mean, I started to see that my Japanese Maple turn bright orange red, and some even already shed all of the leaves. Sadly, no SNOW!
As always, your photographs are breathtaking!

Beautiful pictures! Yes, it's cold and dark just now, but think, in less than a fortnight it will be winter solstice and then days will little by little start to become longer again! :)

Greetings,
Tiina

Love the contrast picture ... really brings home how things can change in two months!

Wet snow is coming down here in Vancouver this morning. Coastal snow is almost ALWAYS wet and people here are ill prepared for driving in it when it does come. Back home, we normally get a dry snow and people and cars are ready for it.

Nice ! pictures indeed!
Rosa, this looks like Colorado, I live about an hour and a half away from Breckenridge ski resort and that is where I spend most of my winter at!
Have you thought about sending these pictures to a magazine ?

It's pictures like this (and all the slush outside of course) that make me so excited for my Christmas vacation home in South Texas!

I was looking the trees in my yard and thought the same thing today. There are a lot of lives changing around us and want us to think.

Je me pose souvent cette question : Comment se fait-il que, sur un même coin de rue, il puisse faire si chaud un jour et si froid quelques mois plus tard?

Given your then and now photographs, I can just imagine how resplendent spring is.

Finally, our landscapes have some similarity! It's icy and white here, too.

Veyrier must be very beautiful with the vineyards in summer and I love the fall colours but we don't see snow often in Athens so I am a bit envious with the snow as well.

Love your pictures!

Winter is sad. My husband hates winter. For the simple fact that today, in Chicagoland, it was 50 degrees, and raining. Just in time for it to be a HIGH of 10 degrees tomorrow and a wind chill of -15 degrees! Nice!

Crazy. What a difference. The Fall foliage was beautiful though, lovely pictures.
