HODLER AND GENEVA

Here are a few paintings by the famous Swiss painter, Ferdinand Hodler who skillfully depicted the beautiful Geneva countryside like no other has done until now...

Hodler was born in Berne (capital of Switzerland) in 1853 and died in Geneva in 1918. He came from a poor family and lost both his parents at an early age. His eerily surreal landscapes and stilized figures are reminiscent of the Art Nouveau, Expressionist and Symbolist movements.

Enjoy!!!
