Lately, I have been suffering from a serious burnout which has left me exhausted and dispirited. I feel completely drained and find no solace in the things I used to enjoy. As result, blogging has become a chore and photography a torture. Instead of being relaxing hobbies, those activities are causing me stress and I can't seem to be able to pull myself together...
As I cannot continue in this way, I have decided to take a pause from in order to recharge my batteries, carelessly savour life, repossess my inner peace, pamper myself and unwind. So, Rosa's Yummy Yums will be on a two weeks hiatus (during this short period of time I'll also be less present online - Facebook, Twitter, Google +, etc...). But please don't worry, I will resume my activities on the 29th of October 2014...You rest now. Rest for longer than you are used to resting. Make a stillness around you, a field of peace. Your best work, the best time of your life will grow out of this peace.
- Peter Heller, The PainterEvery person needs to take one day away. A day in which one consciously separates the past from the future. Jobs, family, employers, and friends can exist one day without any one of us, and if our egos permit us to confess, they could exist eternally in our absence. Each person deserves a day away in which no problems are confronted, no solutions searched for. Each of us needs to withdraw from the cares which will not withdraw from us.- Maya Angelou, Wouldn't Take Nothing for My Journey Now
Take care and see you soon!
Enjoy your blogging break my dear Rosa! I hope you'll get the most out of this "online hiatus". "See" you soon.ReplyDelete

Great skull shoots Rosa,ReplyDelete
i see you soon too!!!
I hope you have a peaceful time and return inspired. take care.ReplyDelete
Quelle importance.
Prends et accorde toi du temps.
Take care of you is the most important thing to do. Have a good relax time.:)ReplyDelete
Take care Rosa!ReplyDelete
Enjoy the break, recharge batteries, looking forward to hear from you soon again.
Tu as raison. On est tellement tous tourné vers le travail que des fois on se rend pas compte qu'on est sur le point de craquer! Bonne continuation en tout cas et repose toi bien :)ReplyDelete
relax and come back inspired. =)ReplyDelete
As usual, I come here to "clean my eyes" with nice and inventive pictures. So beautifulReplyDelete
have a nice time, rest and relaxe.
Prends soin de toi ma Rosa, surtout...ReplyDelete
A très vite.
I understand you soooo well. I've been taking a few holidays from the blog, but just from posting, I still comment on a few blogs. But yes, I should take a complete break. I'll do that over xmas, when I also have 2 weeks of holidays. In the meanwhile, I just keep the activity that I want and not the activity I think I should be doing :)ReplyDelete
I do know what you are talking about dear Rosa, this year I've done it a couple of times. When things we enjoy doing are not enjoyable anymore, taking a break and rebooting our energy and inspiration it's a good strategy.ReplyDelete
I understand you dear Rosa and Im really sorry you are exausted.ReplyDelete
Of course you need a break.
Have a relax time! Im sending you loads of love
Take a breather and take care Rosa :DReplyDelete
Take care and see you soon!ReplyDelete

We will miss you of course...I hope you're OK. I wish you good rest but make sure you come back, you're pretty important to us.ReplyDelete
I love the color version photo of the dainty flowers too. I admire your work.
Oooh reposes-toi bien, j'espère que ça ira ! Bon rétablissement !ReplyDelete
I'm delighted to hear you are taking a well deserved and necessary "pause." Take each and every moment for what it gives, good, bad or indifferent. It's the best way to truly "recharge." "See" you soon, dear, Rosa...
Hi Rosa, there's a time when everyone needs a break, wish you the best!ReplyDelete
Rosa, Oh no. I'm so sorry to hear your burned out! But know that we all feel that way from time to time.ReplyDelete
Fully enjoy your time away. It's so important to take a pause and refuel. I fully support your break! Take more time if you need to. We'll all be here when you get back.
Oh Rosa, I am sorry to hear you feel burnt out :( But I think a break is what we all need sometimes - I took a break for 2 weeks this month while travelling and it did me the world of good. Enjoy yourself - and RELAX!! xReplyDelete

GIRL, good for you. It makes me so happy to hear people speak up about things that start to feel tough. Take the time you need - it will make you better when you're ready to come back.ReplyDelete
A break is a good idea. Sometimes it's wonderful to disconnect and enjoy the beauty in life without the filter of a camera lens or blog. That said, you are a talented and spirited photographer with a style of your own, so I do hope you continue to pursue this gift.ReplyDelete
Good for you, Rosa. A break is important for recharging and deciding things. Enjoy!ReplyDelete
I think that break might be a good idea. Take your time and think :)ReplyDelete
Great pictures, as always!
Dear Rosa, Rest and find peace within. Blessings dear. Catherine xoReplyDelete
Everyone needs a break once in a while, and I know for sure when you come back, you will be refreshed with full of energy! It's hard to know through your perfect photography that you are having difficult time. But I hope you will research and come back strong! :)ReplyDelete
Blogging can be a lot so I get taking the break. I will say this, your blog looks absolutely wonderful. TG his is my frist time here and I hope to see more post from youReplyDelete
Please take all the time you need, Rosa, I completely understand. Firstly your health and mind are very important to take care of. I have also went through these phases several times, had self doubts, took some time off, and came back recharged. The flower picture is simply gorgeous, Rosa, keep up the wonderful work, you are an incredible photographer.ReplyDelete
take your time and enjoy life ;)ReplyDelete
I completely understand! I go back and forth with this asking telling myself only do it when I want to, not because I 'have' to. It should be, as with everything, something that you love doing. Even then, time away doing nothing but 'meditating' is always a good thing. oxoxReplyDelete
Gorgeous photos btw, I adore your photography.
keep cool and eat chocolate! C'est magique pour se reposer!ReplyDelete
enjoy your break! i hope you come back refreshed. :)ReplyDelete
Rosa - Sometimes all of us need a break from our routine. I hope you are having a relaxing time and find your groove again.ReplyDelete
I've missed your beautiful posts, but it's necessary to take a break now and then, to recharge, to get out of a rut, to look for new inspiration. I hope you've enjoyed your time off, and I am looking forward to new posts. xoReplyDelete
Rosa, I completely understand how you feel. I've been taking way too many pauses on my blog albeit for different reasons. I know you have always worked so hard not only on your own blog and photography but also on other people's blogs via comments/visits. You are such a hard worker; you deserve a break! Take care and enjoy it!ReplyDelete
Pense à toi d'abord, profite de cette pause pour te ressourcer et voir tes priorités!ReplyDelete
A très bientôt !
I hope you have a good, relaxing break. We'll miss you while you're gone but look forward to your beautiful photography and recipes when you return!ReplyDelete
You left us with beautiful images to enjoy during your absence. I hope your break has brought you peace and time to enjoy the small pleasures in life that you might have been missing.ReplyDelete
How are you doing lately? I hope you're well. And I hope to see your new post soon. Take care.ReplyDelete
