Rosa, these are great photos! I have some ferns very similar to the one in the last photo. Its leaves curl in and look brownish when the soil is dry, and then they unfurl and are green and happy when it rains.
Your photos (as usual) are lovely. I barely remember to take photos of what I bake and here you are giving us glorious photos from outside your kitchen!

They are lovely! We are in a desert like area and the hills are all brown and crisp... it's so nice to see vibrant green and brightly colored flowers.
