In Veyrier (Geneva, Switzerland) we are very lucky to have three fruit and vegetable markets a week; on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays in different spots around the commune.
My favorite one is a farmer's market situated in a barn in the middle of the greenhouse area in Les Marais de Troinex.
There, you can find a smallish, yet nice array of vegetables, fruits, homemade jams, great artisan cheeses as well meat from the Jura region (beef, sausages, porc...). There you even have the possibility to sit down at a wooden picnic table and enjoy a cup of tea with a slice of cake or tart...
A cute and practical little market that offers good products (mostly regional or Swiss) for a reasonable price!
Bonne semaine
Oh wow how is it...
ReplyDeleteta de la chance
ReplyDeletebonne lundi
I can't wait for our farmers markets to be open in late March:D
ReplyDeleteI love going to farmers' market. It looks wonderful.
ReplyDeleteoh I missed those days when I visited thosse farmer markets and got excited... in here it is not popular though.
ReplyDeleteFarmer's market are so wonderful! I can't wait for our local ones to open in May.
ReplyDeleteIt looks very pretty, sometimes it is nicer with small markets with great products, it's easier to make a choice then!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful market, I can imagine myself going to this market, having coffee and cake...
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Elra
Farmer's markets are the best! We have such a short growing season where we live, ours is only open for a couple of months of the year. Vancouver has the big Granville Market which is lovely to go through when we are down to the coast visiting my mother though.

I adore the selection of fruits and vegetables in the Farmers Markets in Switzerland. There is so much wonderful produce in your country.
ReplyDeleteLucky.
ReplyDeleteDuring the summer months, I go to a local farmer's market, which carries a nice variety of fruits and vegetables, but they're only open Saturday mornings. So, if I snooze, I lose.

ReplyDeleteYou really are lucky to have such lovely markets. We have one, and it isn't all that good. The vegetables mostly look like they fell off of a supermarket truck!
