As promised, here are a few more pictures of my trip to Montreux. As you can see, spring had just started and nature was a lot less green than it is now...
Tes photos sont superbes..Nous y avons de la famille mais, hélas, nous n'y sommes allés qu'une seule fois..mais je confirme que c'est magnifique..Bisous
Oh My . . . how beautiful! Wish I was in Montreaux. How lucky you are. I would also love to attend that picnic in Switzerland. I have an Aunt who was born an raised in Geneva, and she still has her French Accent. That song makes the hair on my arms stand up! Thanks Rosa for always visiting: http://www.justgetoffyourbuttandbake.com
What amazing photos. I'd forgotten how the cloud something hangs suspended over the water and the mountains still look like they're covered in icing sugar. You make me want to return there. Hope you're enjoying the spring and have a great week dear Rosa.
Rosa, I know the history of the song well. I;m saying the cloud and fog cover must have looked like the smoke the band saw over the lake from the fire.
Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLove the pics of Montreaux emerging from the fog & clouds. Now I understand why Deep Purple dedicated Smoke on the Water to Montreaux!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous shots!
ReplyDeleteIt's spring here too..but a rather cold spring this year.
ReplyDeleteMontreaux looks very beautiful. You are a great photographer.
Beautiful as always. Those people are so lucky to live near the water.
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful and how fortunate of you to visit such a heavenly place.
ReplyDeletePETER M: They wrote that song because when they were in the recording studio, the Montreux Casino was on fire...
