1. Eat wholesomely - according to your needs and constitution:- Sit down to dine and savor your food- Have as many meatless and low-carb meals as possible (I indulge on meat, bread, pasta, rice, cakes, desserts, cheese, peanut butter, etc... only once or twice a week, mostly on weekends)- Serve vegetables at every meal- Integrate sufficient healthy proteins and cereals into your diet (seeds, eggs, dairy products, poultry, fish, tofu, farro, barley, oats, buckwheat, etc...)- Regularly cook with legumes and grains (a few times a week)- Eat a handful of nuts and fruits on a daily basis- Flavor your dishes with lots of spices and herbs as well as natural condiments (vinegar, mustard, hot sauce, etc...)- Use good oils and fats in reasonable quantities (that also includes animal fats)- Drink lots of plain water (the amount varies from one person to another, depending on one's lifestyle and body's demand)- Cut down on sugar and floury foods- Steer clear of additives, MSG, glucose, trans fats, GMO's and processed food2. Exercise often3. Sleep enough4. Get some fresh air and get close to nature5. Relax more and ban stress from your life6. Seek harmony and peace of mind, think positively, be optimistic and surround yourself with non-toxic people7. Find inspiration in others, be passionate and creative8. Thanks for sharing the healthy tips, Rosa.
ReplyDeleteA lovely post, Rosa, and definitely words to live by. Numbers 5 and 6 truly speak to me!
ReplyDeleteReally good tips. My downfall is too much flour and sugar (particularly during November and December). Super post - thanks so much.
ReplyDeleteThank you Rosa, I will try!!-))
ReplyDeleteThank you for your tips. Some of them are already on my New Year's Resolution and some other need to be included right now. See if I can make them all!
ReplyDeleteAll good tips and I'm happy to say that I do must of them except limiting meat to twice a week.
ReplyDeleteoh i love these :-) nice post
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you (except for the meat part since I am a vegetarian!)
ReplyDeleteGreat tips,dear Rosa!
I love the last one - fake it till you make it. That can apply to a lot of things in life. Great tips on how to eat. We all should listen to you.
ReplyDeleteSam

ReplyDeleteCheers,
Lia.
I like the last one too..
ReplyDeleteAnd your photograph.:)
I think life has a plan..and you can help the plan..
however..
excellent tips my dear!
ReplyDeleteI eat lots of protein in the am to hold me almost all day; it works too.
A wonderful post to share as we leap into the new year, Rosa. Would you believe I actually had a tee shirt once that read "Fake It till You Make It" I tossed it when I did. I really wish I would have saved it though. Thanks for sharing, Rosa, Great tips!

ReplyDeleteHi Rosa, great posting. Thank you for sharing all the tips. I like number 11 & 12. :))
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week ahead.
Dann will ich mal mit Punkt 3. und 11. beginnen :-)
ReplyDeleteWonderful tips, Rosa, and a beautiful photo! Pinned.
ReplyDeleteLoving the last point but they're all good ones.
ReplyDeleteLove these tips Rosa! I haven't greeted you Happy New Year yet.. so.. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed reading through your list.. So holistic and healthy. My fav is no. 6!
ReplyDeleteExcellent advice.... all of it. I taught my husband to express his emotions and I can tell you it does enormous good to the body. Relax... seek harmony and peace of mind... definitely important. Not caring what others think is the most difficult but worth the effort. Thanks for reminding us all of what should be so obvious.
ReplyDeleteGreat tips Rosa! I love the last one.. ;)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pear, Rosa!
ReplyDeleteThat's a tall list and while the advice is great, it's hard to follow entirely. I do swallow my feelings a lot, have learned to do so as I've aged. And I rarely think in terms of becoming one with the universe. I think the correct road to follow is moderation in everything.
Nice tips, Rose...mostly already following. No. 12 - love it! Thanks :) ela
ReplyDeleteA great list. I don't do very well at #1 so I'll rely on #12.
ReplyDeleteGreat tips to live by, and a beautiful pear photo too.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could follow all of your tips...but I'm weak!!
ReplyDeleteVery nice and helpful tips. Just wish I could follow it consistently. Love the last one.
ReplyDelete"Fake it till you make it." :)
ReplyDeleteRosa, I follow 'almost' all these health tips. However, I don't know if I'll ever internalize #8. Maybe I just need more sleep.
thanks for sharing your healthy tips with us.
ReplyDeleteGreat tips Rosa, I love the last tip ;)
ReplyDeleteSound advice Rosa!
ReplyDeleteA great list full of wisdom. Especially #11. Happy 2014!
ReplyDeleteNice tips Rosa, have a great weekend
ReplyDeleteBises xx
Tip number 11 is so true! Good to be reminded.
ReplyDeleteGreat tips! I especially love and agree tip #10 :)
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful tips, and so easy to implement! I especially agree with #11!
ReplyDeleteI agree with all points. The only thing is that sometimes it's not that easy possible to do all of them especially when you have kids around.:)
ReplyDeletei agree on all of it Rosa - its so important to be yourself, savor but also practice moderation. Any time I indulge more than I should I just feel sick..
ReplyDeleteOur health and wellness strategy is almost exactly the same! Love this post.
ReplyDeleteThis "less is more" philosophy is exactly what I'm trying to do a bit more each day…I say "trying", because I still have a lot of bad habits. So, thank you Rosa for reminding me all these important points ! Have a beautiful sunday ! PS : I finally found these famous dried green beans (in Manor, in Geneva) ;-)
ReplyDeleteThank you! Those are nice tips...made me feel so good.
ReplyDeleteHummm, si j'avais le temps, je suivrais tous tes conseils :)
ReplyDeleteGreat tips. I'll have to try a little harder to work out more often than I am doing now. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteGood run down! I love seeing how others try to manage their health. I am guilty of eating way too many treats and not moving enough. There's always tomorrow. :p
ReplyDeleteDe bons conseils à essayer d'intégrer pour des vies plus saines et moins stressées ! C'est agréable de les lire pour se faire une petite piqûre de rappel de temps en temps ...
