Being Swiss, it is difficult not to like cheese. I have eaten that delicacy since a very early age and never fell out of love with it. Cheese has always been part of my life and we will never sever...
Our country has many wonderful cheeses and we are also very lucky to find great foreign specialities (French, Spanish, Italian & English) in our stores or at our local cheese dealer. For a cheese lover like me, it's paradise (unless you look at the - high - prices, that is).
I mean, is there anything better than quality cheese with homemade bread and a bottle of good wine?!

I adore cheese - in fact, all kinds but especially the ones that stink! In Germany, not so many people are crazy about cheese and they tend to like the milder ones. I'd never heard of any of these but they look fantastic. It's true what you say about the high price tag though - you can spend €60 without even trying! Bon WE!
I agree with you; cheeses are delightfull.
Il you want to discover new ones, althouh you will not find them in Swiss, I suggest you to visit;

where you will find plenty of ideas
I'd have a problem if I lived in Switzerland with all those fabulous cheese varieties. I think I'd gain 10 pounds a year.
Our entire family love cheese as well. I can not imagine my fridge and my life without it.
Saint Nectaire is our all-time favorite!
oooohhhh yesss!!! cheeesseee!! i would love to try the yes ye sooo true! quality cheese with homemade bread and a bottle of good wine is just more than perfect! :)
D and I love our cheeses too and always are sure to visit the best cheese shops when we are in Vancouver. Most Canadians seem to stick with cheddar and poor quality cheddar at that, but more and more we're seeing some other, wonderful cheeses appear. You're right, a meal of fresh bread, cheese and wine .... mmmmmm.
Some lovely cheeses there Rosa. I love a good cheese selection with crusty home made breads.

Tu as tout a fait raison, Rosa !
I love cheese! Lovely clicks Rosa!
There is NOTHING better than good cheese, wine and bread, unless its followed by something else, then its perfect! LOL!
If anyone would know cheeses it would be you! It's such a nice meal- some rare cheeses, some good bread, some wine and maybe fruit. Love it.
Cheese is one of my favorite indulgences! These all look wonderful!
I love cheese Rosa, always!! For me the perfect couple is cheese and wine!! Lovely!

Bread, cheese and wine are my very best friends. ;-)
They all look so good!
I totally agree with you nothing best than homemade bread with good cheese.
I love cheese so much since early age too ... I just recently got interesting to know more about homemade cheese & buy a lot of books :D I hope someday I made my own cheese :D
Have a good day Rosa & thank you so much for your support :)
zainab :D
Swiss cheeses are, of course, divine! That said, I'd love to introduce you to some of our fantastic Canadian cheeses, too. Plan a trip to Canada. It's a cheese lover's paradise.
Mmmmmm...cheese. I came to cheese quite late in life but cannot imnagine life without it now! I've never heard of these cheeses though, so thanks for sharing.
I'm crazy about cheeses. Would love to taste those. They look so good.
an absolute rhetoric question :-)
Rosa, these cheese look amazing. I've never even heard of any of them. I don't even want to imagine what I'm missing out on!
I too love cheese. Croatia is famous many different kinds of cheese, the most famous being Paski sir, a hard, distinctively flavored sheep milk cheese. But my favorite is a nice homemade smoked cheese with a slice of prosciutto :)Although, that Maroille cheese looks absolutely fabulous.

Lovely photos. I love cheese too. Yes red wine and fresh bread with it..........perfect.
Oh cheese - my greatest weakness! I could sit and ogle your photos all day long!
You are so right about cheese. Since I live in Holland we also have an abundancy of various cheeses. Not only Dutch but from around europe (well in a good cheesestore that is) and I love almost all of them. It's just unfortunate that my husband does not like cheese at all...
I totally agree some great cheese, homemade bread still warm and a glass of red wine and I'm set... food fit for royalty I believe!
.. j'apporte le vin d'accord??..
..bo week~end Rosa;)
~nancy xx
No meal is complete without a good platter of cheeses..love them specially the maroille or pas de calais :-)
I'm not Swiss but I do love me some cheese!

Rosa, you live in Confederato Helvetica, or the short-form of CH, non?
I think it would be more apprpriate to rename the nation Cheese Heaven!
salut Rosa

You're absolutely right. Cheese, bread and wine is all one needs...maybe throw in some grapes too. : )
Every country has their special cheese. I ill have to keep a look out for these Rosa.
I am a fan of good old cheeses. Lovely pictures!!
Me & my husband enjoy the good company of an old cheese with a good glass of red wine,...
Mmmm cheese! I haven't seen the Le Vézalay around before. Looks tasty!
me love cheese!! but my mom hates it :(
What would life be without cheese?! We are so lucky to live in the cheese paradise!
I am probably the one weird one among a few who is not "fond" of cheese, except pepper jack, mascarpone & mozarella & a very few others. Beautiful pictures!
Cheese is great. You can eat it alone and enjoy every bite and you can cook with it as it gets lost in the other ingredients, yet gives them delicious flavor.
oh they look so beautiful!!! We only find a couple of hard cheese imported from your country :(
Thanks for introducing us to some Swiss cheese which are new to me. I would like to try them one day.
Je suis une fanatique du fromage aussi ! On a de petits fromages délicieux, en Provence ...
Bises
IVY & GATTINA: In fact, those are French cheeses ;-P!
you're right, homemade bread and cheese is the perfect combination, in fact that is my dinner many nights, i dont need anything else, my favourites? any spanish, (manchego and mahon specially) mature gouda, and brie,

pity
bisous
Je me lèche les babines...
I am so envious of your accessibility to all of those wonderful cheeses! We are able to get a lot of them here, but not nearly enough. And, they're never quite as fresh.
Beautiful pictures & enviable cheese. I do so love good cheese Rosa, and it's something I miss here.
