HOUSES AROUND VEYRIER

In the Geneva countryside, there are many interesting and pretty old houses. It is really worthwhile take a walk around the region...

Most new houses (apart from a few jewels of modern architecture) are hideous, sexless, have no appeal, soul, charm, nor class and look ever so boring (the same old thing since more than 20 years!), but when it comes to the ancient ones, then there's really something to see!

Beautiful! I wish they still built houses with this beautiful craftmanship!

Great photos Rosa... make me feel like going back to Europe again ( of course my life in Florida is just transitory)

All I see here are tall buildings condos
Too modern... one great consideration that wants me give up the States is for the lack of culture

Now that the economy is going down the pits I might as well pack my bags soon.

What a beautiful place to live! I can't imagine! Everything here (U.S.) is so new -- and plastic! Everything about that village has me wanting to move to a country that's been around since the cavemen and live in a house with two foot thick walls!

Awesome!

Blessings,
Lacy

SHALIMAR: Thanks! Well, for me those buildings are exotic! Miami has some great jewels of architecture...

RAZORFAMILYFARMS: Thanks! Here there aren't too many old or pretty houses! For example, England has far more interesting and old houses... I love America's pretty houses (wooden ones), though!

BELLINI VALLI: Just like me!

I agree. Give me the older houses and building with charm , rather than any modern stuff. Maybe thats why I love Europe.

I love tiled roofs. We rarely see them around here but they are so cool!

Oh my, what gorgeous buildings! Out here in San Francisco we have a few lovelies but nothing like that! I love it when you post pictures of the area... especially since I've never been and it all looks amazing.
