PASTRIES FOR PEACE - THE ROUNDUP

A few months ago, after I had posted a recipe for "Ma'amoul", a friend of mine proposed that I start a movement callled "Pastries For Peace". That idea struck me as good and a few days later I advertised for the event...

Unfortunately, although the concept was good, not many people contributed to my little event. Was it a bad time of the year to lauch it? I don't know...

Anyhow, I still received a few gorgeous contributions and I wish to thank all participants for having taken part in that event and baked magnificent creations!

  13. I love the idea of Pastries for Peace and would have loved to participate. Unfortunately, as you see from my blog lately, I've been unable to bake or cook. Perhaps, the next time you host this event, I'll be able to join in on the fun. In the meantime, I think it's the quality of entries, not the amount that counts. You have a wonderful line up of Pastries for Peace here. ;-)

  17. What enchanting pastries for such a lovely thought.

If I wasn't so baking-challenged, I would "play" next time. It was probably just the timing, Rosa. I do hope you will do this again.

Thanks for sharing this delectable round-up. Now, where do I begin?

  18. Rosa, I made some cookies but didn't have the camera to take pictures with. I also started another batch with a date filling but never managed to finish them as the last week before out trip was insane. I really, really, wanted to participate but time and no camera were my enemy.

All the entries looked amazing though.

    Happy Holidays!
