On the 28th of March I went to the 5th "Festival Du Chocolat De Versoix" in a small lakeside town near Geneva (see my 2007 post). This chocolate festival is always very successful. It's popularity never stops growing and the number of chocolate lovers who coverge there is on the rise year after year. In 2008, 19'000 visitors showed up and, according to the crazy crowd hat there was this year around, surely another record has been broken in 2009...
Here are some pictures I took and a video (not mine/news) which might interest you (see link). And, there's no need to tell you that I bought quite a few delicious goodies there!

La raison pour laquelle la Suisse entretien un lien si étroit avec le chocolat est dû au fait que la méthode de conchage du chocolat a été inventée par Rodolphe lindt en 1879. Voilà pourquoi la Suisse est synonyme de chocolat; à cause de son savoir-faire!

Wow! I have been to the Salon du Chocolat in Paris and it is torture! How can one go, no matter how many things we sample, and not buy everything? I am lucky enough to live in a city with a few amazing chocolatiers and that is always our special treat to ourselves!
